The Tshwane Regional Football Association (TRFA) is the governing body for football within the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality. We are dedicated to administering, developing, and promoting the game of football. We are currently seeking a competent official to fulfil the role of Financial Officer.
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Executive Officer (Regional Secretary), the Financial Officer is responsible for ensuring adequate operational, administrative, and governance support in accordance with the TRFA Finance Policy and the approved budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer the TRFA’s finances utilising an approved Financial System.
- Serve as a co-signatory and transactor for the TRFA’s bank account(s) and internet banking facilities.
- Make payments and transfers to relevant stakeholders upon the approval of the Executive Officer, strictly adhering to scheduled Wednesday and Friday payment runs.
- Operate and manage the procurement process in accordance with the TRFA Finance Policy.
- Keep, administer, and reconcile petty cash.
- Administer the procurement, maintenance, and disposal of assets and inventory, and produce control reports on their statuses.
- Drive the debt collection process.
- Capture and maintain vendor/beneficiary details on the financial system and process payments for meeting allowances and travel claims.
- File all transactional source documents electronically against the corresponding transactions on the financial system.
Mandatory Requirements
- Proven competence in financial administration, bookkeeping, or a related field to fulfil the duties of a Financial Officer.
- Demonstrated ability to operate financial accounting systems.
- Strict commitment to compliance, governance, and maintaining an accrual basis of accounting.
- Ability to work from the TRFA Headquarters located in Arcadia, Pretoria.
- Note: All employment is conducted in compliance with the Labour Relations Act, Skills Development Act, and the TRFA Human Resources Policy.
